The Experience
The transformation begins when, through an elaborate process involving dice, a leather-bound captain's log and more, you receive your Official Pirate Name and are given a pass into the Muster Station.
This main room is elaborately themed, with pirate gear all along the ceiling, across the walls and even with themed crates in the middle of the room.  Here you leave your old self behind as the Pirate Masters perform a marauder's makeover. You’ll hear the ways of the scurvy sea dogs as they apply yer buccaneer beard, scars, earrings and eye patches. You’ll also be given the opportunity to purchase headgear to complete your look. All in, the make-over part of the experience takes around 20 minutes, with some facial effects taking longer than others.

The new pirates are then lead into the corner of the room, where a fellow pirate offers up more goodies to assist future plundering – a pirate sash and cutlass (a plastic sword).  You are then trained on the rules of sword play, mainly making sure that other guests are not the enemy!

After reciting the Pirate Oath, you are allowed access into Captan Jack’s secret treasure room. No photographs are allowed in this room, with the exception of the Official Pirate Portrait. Here you will discover a piece of treasure, a pirate medallion, that is the key to the exit.

Once you are in the front room again, you are offered the Pirate Photo, and make payment for the experience, including any extras you may have purchased along the way.
A Few Helpful Tips
Make up
Make is a big part of this experience. If your child doesn’t like make up, or can’t sit still for 20 minutes to have it applied, you might want to skip The Pirate’s League. Make up remover from home can help a lot withe the full face effects.

Photographs
If you have the portrait photo taken at the Pirates League and purchased through the League you can have the photo added to a PhotoPass card at Exposition Hall or online. If you have Memory Maker, the photo is included in your Memory Maker purchase.

Money Saver
If you want the costume experience, bring a something from home, and wear it to The Pirates League.

Go to the Bathroom Before your Visit!
There are no restrooms in The Pirates League. So, make a pit stop before checking in, or while you're waiting to be seated.

Tips are allowed
If you feel that the service you've received was worth a gratuity (many do), you are allowed to tip your Pirate Masters. However, you will have to do it in cash, as the Pirates at the register aren't allowed to charge tips on your credit/room card.

Don't Forget to Have Fun.
Above and beyond everything else, you should make having fun the Number 1 Priority! This isn't a chore. This isn’t a must do to check off a list. This isn’t something to squeeze in. This is The Pirates League! Prioritize and treasure the moment.
